Medicare presentations

Oregon SHIBA offers presentations to groups that work with people who are eligible for Medicare. This includes retirees who want help with Medicare choices. Organizations that have found our presentations helpful include the following:

  • Lisa Lettenmaier, owner/principal at HealthSource Northwest
  • Marcella Easly, volunteer, Senior Health Insurance Benefits Assistance in Clackamas County
 This course will help attendees understand Medicare basics. Topics include:
  • Medicare Parts A&B;
  • comparisons of Medicare Advantage / Medigap; and Part D
  • 2023 changes brought on by the Inflation Reduction Act.

Medicare doesn't have to be confusing. This course will help participants understand Medicare basics and make informed choices. Topics include: 
  • Medicare eligibility and enrollment
  • Parts A, B, C and D
  • Covered services
  • Medicare insurance policies
  • Problem resolution 

This free course is taught by a SHIBA certified counselor in cooperation with Multnomah County Aging and Disability Services. 

Class format: Online via Zoom. Must have a computer with camera and microphone, smart phone or tablet to take this class. 

Register today - advance registration is required.

Zoom instructions will be included in your registration confirmation email. Instructor will email your Zoom class meeting link within 24 hours of the start of your class.
