The Annual Enrollment Period from October 15 to December 7 allows Medicare beneficiaries the chance to review upcoming changes for their existing Medicare Advantage or Part D plan. SHIBA volunteers can help you compare plans for 2026 and enroll in a new one. We may even be able to help you save money on your Medicare costs! Description: Learn the basics of Medicare, including eligibility, enrollment, and what Parts A, B, C, and D cover and cost. This is great information if you or a loved one is about to transition to Medicare, or if you'd like a refresher. Counselors from Statewide Health Insurance Benefits Assistance, or SHIBA, present this lecture.

Description: Medicare doesn't have to be confusing. This course will help participants understand Medicare basics and make informed choices. Topics: Medicare eligibility and enrollment; Parts A, B, C and D; covered services; Medicare insurance policies; and problem resolution. This free course is taught by trained volunteers in cooperation with Multnomah County Aging and Disability Services.
Taught via Zoom. Must have a computer with camera and microphone, smartphone or tablet to take this class. Zoom instructions will be included in your registration confirmation email. Instructor will email your Zoom class meeting link within 24 hours of the start of your first class session.
