Description: Medicare fraud is estimated to cost $60 billion annually. How does this affect you, and how can you help to stop it? The SHIBA (Senior Health Insurance Benefits Assistance) program can educate you about how to prevent, detect, and report healthcare​ fraud, errors and abuse.​​

Description: Medicare doesn't have to be confusing. This course will help participants understand Medicare basics and make informed choices. Topics: Medicare eligibility and enrollment; Parts A, B, C and D; covered services; Medicare insurance policies; and problem resolution. This free course is taught by trained volunteers in cooperation with Multnomah County Aging and Disability Services. 

This class will be hosted on Zoom. You must have a computer, smart phone or tablet with camera and microphone to take this class. Zoom instructions will be included in your registration confirmation email. The instructor will email your Zoom class meeting link within 24 hours of the start of your first class session.
